In the Summer of 2004 we drove to Crater Lake, OR. Crater Lake is widely known for its intense blue color and spectacular views. The winter brings some of the heaviest snowfall in the country, averaging 533 inches per year.We took our camper and stayed at the park campground. It took us a good 8 hours to get there. The first thing that we noticed is that even though it was July, there was still snow on the ground.
The next day we started our adventure, the raining weather didn't stop us
During the day we drove to spots along the rim. We decided to take the boat tour around the lake. The tour was a great way to see the lake from a different angle. We spent the day on Wizard Island hiking and fishing.
